Anxiety was my unwanted friend for much of my life. I know what it is like to have unwanted, intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, and incessant worry. I've hidden in the closet, feeling unsafe and like my own thoughts were betraying me. I've been up all night so over and over a problem or fear. I've worried that people would think I was crazy if they knew what was inside my head. I understand you can't just "stop it". I learned and practiced the skills I will teach you every day in my own life, so I can teach you how to reclaim your life as well. I will teach you not just what the skill is, but how and why to implement it, and we will rehearse the skills together- walking through them step by step. I approach therapy from a creative lens in which I use detailed imagery to help you visualize yourself using the strategies and see yourself healing and improving step by step.
